A benefit of Lesaffre’s HR policy

international mobility

Lesaffre is constantly growing at a national and international level. To support this global expansion, we offer our employees motivating prospects for career development, both internally and across all of our subsidiaries in more than 80 countries worldwide.

Go international and expand your professional horizons

VideoAt Lesaffre, we strongly encourage our employees’ functional and geographic mobility. Advancing across positions, sites, divisions and countries is a key part of our group’s culture. For our staff, an experience abroad brings them cultural enrichment, new skill sets and stimulating interactions with colleagues from different backgrounds. These international transfers foster openness to new ways of thinking and working, the sharing and transmission of knowledge and expertise, and the exchange of best practices.

Interdisciplinary mobility: an opportunity for everyone

Through our intragroup mobility policy, we aim to offer avenues for professional development to all of our staff. Whether employees work at a junior or senior level, in operations or in management, their motivation and skills take precedence over their degrees and current job titles.
To attain certain positions within Lesaffre, expatriation can be a vital step, allowing employees to boost their international expertise and culture in relation to the group. An assignment abroad often opens doors to new responsibilities that can truly expedite career advancement.

Quality support to facilitate international integration

An international assignment is a unique personal and professional experience. We assist our employees, before, during and after their mobility project, in order to encourage success in their new duties. All families receive information and guidance to help facilitate their integration (formalities, accommodation, local welcome, etc.) and then their return. At any given time, we employ some 100 expatriates and international managers. In 2013 and 2014, this allowed nearly 30% of senior managers to take on new responsibilities in the group.
