Natural aromatic substances for the aromatic industry It develops and produces aromatic substances through bioconversion, biosynthesis or via enzymatic means.  Thanks to their enzyme systems, the microorganisms can bioconvert substrates or precursors in order to supply specific aromatic substances sought by flavour specialists, in a highly controlled manner.  The substances obtained via biological means are covered by the “nature” label under the terms of the CEE 88/388 flavourings directive compared to the natural equivalent and to synthetic flavourings.

Safisis Today, SAFISIS markets a wide range of products.  Research continues into new products in order to further expand this range and to meet the needs of the aromatic industry on a worldwide basis.  Among the most recent developments, Naturalline makes it possible to obtain a vanilla flavouring thanks to the biological conversion of a substrate which is naturally present in various plant extracts such as rice, wheat or beetroot.
