Lesaffre is continuing its partnership with the World Forum Lille to be held on October 9, 10 and 11, 2008. The theme this year is the promotion of a responsible economy with the goal of “feeding and protecting the planet”.

The Social and Environmental World Forum is part of a general trend towards encouraging responsible globalization.This year, it will once again be bringing together a wide range of key players with the aim of encouraging dialogue concerning the best practices used by companies the world over. Like many other companies, Lesaffre will be taking this opportunity to highlight those of its practices which contribute to feeding and protecting the planet. 

In October 2007, the first international diversity and equal opportunities event attracted almost 2000 visitors to Lille. In 2009, the forum will be considering the theme of responsible financing before presenting the global manifesto for a responsible economy in 2010, which will include all of the companies’ best practices in order that these may be emulated and implemented widely.
