Is looking for:
International agronomist Trainee

The trainee will be located in Lesaffre Australia (Melbourne) and working in collaboration with the Corporate Environmental department. You’ll be in charge of the development of yeast coproduct reuse mainly as fertilizer.

Your missions

After a short training period at the head office in France, to know and to understand what is already done elsewhere and to present you the results of the first study done in Australia, the mission will be split in two parts:
1st part:

  • Continue the agronomical experimentation initiated by Lesaffre Australia in collaboration with the Australian authorities under an adapted technical support
  • Develop the technical and commercial promotion of the product by meeting farmers, agricultural organizations…
  • Review of the administrative issues to allow the reuse of our coproduct
  • Create a product specification in accordance with the Australian law

2nd part:

  • Develop the market with pragmatism focused on local famers
  • Manage the supply chain from the factory to the field taking into account Australian habits
  • Organize the industrialization of the product reuse


Your profile :

  • Duration: 6 months
  • Start date : May-June 2012
  • Agronomist student
  • Ability for building nice relationships with different partners (farmers, experts, administration…)
  • High level of motivation, open-minded, pragmatic, autonomous in foreign country
  • Agricultural origin or good feeling with the landside
  • A first experience in a English speaker country would be an advantage
  • High knowledge in English is essential
