The Plant Care Center ™, the new applied science center of Agrauxine

Agrauxine, the Lesaffre Business Unit dedicated to plant care, by developing and manufacturing biocontrol and biostimulation products from microorganisms, has launched its Plant Care Center ™. This “life-size” laboratory, constructed during the course of 2015 in the vicinity of the Lesaffre factory in Argentina, enables Agrauxine to test solutions in the same conditions as those experienced by end users.

A demonstration and technical center to better assist the customers

Following the example of the Lesaffre Baking Centers™ and Culinary Centers, this applied science center provides support for the research and development teams by allowing them to run application trials to test its biocontrol and biostimulation products performance in real conditions. But Agrauxine also aims at using the Plant Care Center ™ as a demonstration and technical center in order to help its customers who operate as distributors to better evaluate products’ effectiveness. First testings started on crops such as maize, soya, wheat, tomatoes and lettuce.

A strategic asset for the positioning of biocontrol and biostimulation products

The Plant Care Center ™ is a real catalyst for exchanges and it will enable Agrauxine to learn more about the country’s agricultural practices and the requirements of that important local market thanks to its location in the southern hemisphere that gives an opportunity to work outside European seasonal references. These application trials represent an undeniable opportunity for Agrauxine to improve the technical positioning of its products.

The Plant Care Center ™ in figures

This “life-size” center consists of a 180-sq.m. greenhouse, an area of 10.000-sq.m. of land reserved for experimental research, premises for storing phyto-pharmaceutical products, and a laboratory for processing samples.
