 Core Safety Roles & Responsibilities

  • Comply with local governmental HSE regulations, with Lesaffre fundamental principles and apply the safety Policy,
  • Participate in entity safety activities and always show best examples (Rules application, PPE wearing, perform safety visits, accident analysis, safety committees…),
  • Participate actively in the risk assessment of own’s job area
  • Follow the safety action plan of own perimeter,
  • Make safety rules in your perimeter, communicate it, make sure your team understands and applies them,
  • Start all meetings (from 8 persons minimum) by a safety contact,
  • Encourage safe acts and discourage each time you see unsafe acts,
  • Report unsafe conditions / acts and near misses to the managers,
  • Report within 12 hours all recordable accidents to the next level of management,
  • Report each month all recordable accidents and first aids happened in your perimeter,
  • Participate in the target-setting process for the safety KPIs,
  • Be a part of recognition & sanction program.

HSE roles and responsibilities for Sales & Marketing

  • Respect company rule regarding travel safety,
  • Apply our safety rules over and above those of our customers if there are no similar rules (safety shoes, goggles, etc.),
  • Apply and respect safe driving rules,
  • Make sure all gift or external communication supports are online with “safety spirit” (good for health, safe, environmentally friendly).

 Major contributions and purpose

As AREA SALES MANAGER – Northeast Asia, you will contribute to the development and implementation of Phileo regional strategy, in line with budget objectives, to ensure the profitability and growth of your area.

Your main responsibilities will be to:

  • Define and deploy Phileo commercial strategy in NEA area
  • Secure the necessary approvals and registrations to sell products locally, in liaise with Regulatory department
  • Set targets and drive sales efforts in each country
  • Establish and support the distribution network, engage directly with strategic accounts
  • All while collaborating closely with various support functions across Phileo

 

Required skills and related expectations:

Customer Relationship Management:

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key customers in the assigned area
  • Understand customer needs, pain points, and expectations
  • Provide tailored solutions and exceptional customer service

Territory Planning and Execution:

  • Expertise in analyzing market trends, competition, and customer dynamics within the assigned area
  • Develop and implement effective sales strategies and action plans for the territory
  • Set realistic sales targets and monitor performance against goals

Sales Execution and Optimization:

  • Effectively manage the opportunities pipeline and close deals within the assigned area
  • Skill in training, coaching, and motivating the local sales team to achieve their targets
  • Identify and implement sales improvements to enhance efficiency and productivity

Distributor and Channel Management

  • Identify, onboard, and manage a network of reliable distributors and channel partners in the area
  • Provide training, support, and resources to ensure the success of the distribution network
  • Monitor and optimize the performance of the distribution channels

Reporting and Analytics

  • Gather, analyse, and interpret sales data and market intelligence for the assigned area
  • Prepare comprehensive reports and presenting insights to the Regional Sales Director
  • Use data-driven decision-making to inform sales strategies and resource allocation

Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Work closely with other regional and global functions (e.g., marketing, product, operations)
  • Align local activities with the overall regional and global strategies
  • Communicate and coordinate with the broader team

Adaptability and Agility

  • Adapt to changing market conditions and customer needs within the area
  • Identifying and capitalize on emerging opportunities
  • Be proactive and innovative in addressing challenges

Qualifications and Experience

  • Holding a higher education degree in economics, agronomy, veterinary (or equivalent)
  • Bringing significant experience (minimum 10 years) in sales/ business development in the animal nutrition industry
  • Demonstration in-depth knowledge of the animal feed market
  • Strong experience in leading commercial negotiations, Displaying initiative, autonomy and a customer/results-oriented
  • Excellent in English (C1). Chinese language can be a plus
  • Curiosity and ability to understand and adapt to multicultural environment

The job requires a high degree of autonomy. Responsible for organizing his/her own work within the framework of global and regional strategies and budgets allocated to the specific territory. In addition, he/she is expected to continually engage with internal and external customers to understand their evolving business requirements and needs. Therefore, he/she must possess excellent organizational skills, be self-motivated, and have the ability to work independently while still being able to collaborate effectively with various teams within the organization.
