Lesaffre Ethiopia, a recent entity within the Group, produces Baking ingredients and sells yeast and ingredients. Reporting to the General Manager, you will be responsible for  overseeing the sales and markting activities of the business. You will lead the sales and baking center departments, setting goals and strategies to drive revenue and increase market share.

Key responsibilities:

  • Developing and implementing sales and marketing strategies to achieve company goals
  • Managing and motivating the sales and baking center teams to meet targets
  • Designing and managing the budget for the sales and marketing departments
  • Monitoring and following up on achievements of budgeted sales targets, and prepare adjustment plans should recovery is required
  • Monitoring market trends and competitor activity to identify opportunities for growth
  • Building and maintaining relationships with key customers and partners
  • Identifying new business opportunities developing new sales channels and grow sales portfolio 
  • Studying the market and identify gaps to enable introduction of new products 
  • Overseeing and managing the baking center planned activity, budget and over all contribution to the annual sales performance.
  • Ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations and health standards
  • Monitoring and reporting on sales and marketing performance to senior management
  • Investigating and following up on any counterfeit activity or other fraudulent behavior



  • Master’s degree in Marketing & Sales or Business Administration
  • Proven 5-10 years of experience as a Sales Manager

As you will play a crucial role in driving the success of the business, you must have strong leadership, communication, and analytical skills. You will also need a deep understanding of the yeast and bread making ingredients industry and should able to adapt quickly to changing market conditions.

  • Strong commercial dynamism
  • Good knowledge of market trends
  • High negotiations skills, strong ability to convince
  • Ability to build nice relationships with different partners (distributors, clients)
  • Familiar with IT tools, CRM
  • Strong business sense and industry expertise
  • Excellent mentoring, coaching and people management skills
  • Fluent in English
