What will your daily life look like?

Within our entity Lesaffre Kenya, you will ensure product quality and support innovation by conducting baking tests, monitoring performance, handling non-conformities, and providing technical support for new product development.

Your missions : 

  • Running yeast comparative test
  • Carrying out baking test from time to time for bread improvers, mixes, and release agents to ascertain the quality of the final product before release to the market
  • Reporting any non-conformance or deviations in analysis and baking test
  • Maintaining records and preparing statistical reports to evaluate quality performance and sharing with respective department
  • Maintaining high hygiene standards in baking lab
  • Suggesting any ideas for continuous improvement in baking lab and process in general
  • Dealing with complaint and preparing report to respective department
  • Giving technical support to the formulator for NPD

That makes you the ideal candidate

  • Diploma or bachelor’s degree in food science or in the bakery industry. Laboratory experience and testing ability.

Technical Skills : 

  • Strong knowledge of confectionery and cake decoration
  • Understanding the needs of the market & customer
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Soft Skills : 

  • Ability to prioritize daily activities to meet client/internal needs within established timelines in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to monitor and report on assigned tasks, goals, and objectives
  • Listening to different perspectives and showing flexibility
  • Ability to work with different personalities/teams, build collaboration and consensus
  • Customer oriented ideology
