What will your daily life look like?

From our headquarter in Marquette-lez-Lille, France, we operate a state-of-the-art Applied Research Center called the Fermentis Academy, featuring a full-size brewery, a microbiology lab, a physico-chemical lab, and a sensory lab – all designed to drive innovation in fermentation science.

Your role as Brewing Research Project Manager

Passionate and skilled Project Manager, you will join our Fermentis Academy team to lead applied research initiatives primarily in the brewing segment. This pivotal role connects our internal resources with Fermentis other departments (R&D, Industrial, Marketing / Communication and Sales) and external partners to generate valuable technical knowledge on Fermentis’ solutions and related communications that strengthen Fermentis’ position as an industry leader in the beverage segment.

Your Impact

As the Fermentis Academy Project Manager, you will:

  • Drive Applied Research Excellence: Design and lead scientifically rigorous research projects, primarily beer related, that deliver actionable insights while meeting deadlines and budget constraints
     
  • Transform Data into Value: Analyze complex sensory and analytical data, creating compelling datasets and visualizations that inform product development and marketing strategies
     
  • Amplify Our Knowledge: Create impactful scientific publications and presentations, representing Fermentis at international conferences and industry events
     
  • Bridge Science and Business: Collaborate with Marketing, Sales, and R&D teams to align technical findings with market trends and product positioning
     
  • Educate and Inspire: Develop and deliver technical workshops and training programs that showcase Fermentis’ expertise to all our stakeholders

Your Profile

  • Advanced Education: Rather PhD or Master’s degree with experience ideally in Brewing Science or Food Science, Chemistry, Microbiology or Fermentation with a substantial expertise in brewing science and beer styles knowledge, or equivalent experience
  • Proven Experience: 5-10 years of experience as project manager or equivalent in a beverage or food company or lab
  • Technical Mastery: Strong background in experimental design, data management, and brewing processes
  • Communication Excellence: Fluent English (written and spoken), with French highly desirable, public speaking abilities, cultural awareness and adaptability
  • Digital Proficiency: Advanced skills in data visualization tools and Microsoft Office Suite
