What will your daily life look like?
Reporting to the General Manager of Lesaffre UK, you will be responsible for a plant with around 45+ employees.
The plant manager oversees and organizes the daily operations in the facility. Being a support to the functional management team and delegating projects for plant improvement are part of the function.
Your responsibilities include:
– Ensure HSE in the facility and deployment of group related policies, and Safety-First behaviour and mindset for our “0 accident” objectives
– Manage daily operations in the respect of budgeted production costs
– Manage the Warehouse and supply teams and activities to ensure products are delivered on time in full to the customers.
– Responsible for the quality assurance, the quality control department and the laboratories activities.
– Manage the Purchase requirements to ensure best quality, cost and service
– Maintain a social climate allowing good working conditions for all the employees.
– Development & Alignment of strategic objectives and provide a clear sense of direction and focus.
– Propose, delegate and coordinate projects that are important for the improvement of the plant.
– Support to the production supervisors in various matters such as production outcomes, resources allocation, discipline
– Stay up to date with the latest production management best practices and concepts such as lean and cost optimalisation.

That makes you the ideal candidate
5 to 10 years of experience in production, preferred in food manufacturing field B2B.
IOSH / NEBOSH trained preferably
Strong interest in Safety,food safery health, environment, and lean topics.
Audit experience
You have succeeded in a management role.
You have good communication skills, showing leadership.
SAP experience would be a plus
Project management, Coach, Management support, Leadership. Knowledge about food processing techniques.
