What will your daily life look like?
Within the R&I division of Lesaffre International, you will be a part of the Discovery Analytics team.
You will contribute to different on-going projects through NMR metabolomics and natural products discovery.
Key responsibilities
Analysis of microbial products and fermentation matrices by NMR metabolomics (sample preparation, data analysis).
Development of NMR metabolomics strategies to serve on-going projects.
Keep up to date on the latest developments in metabolomics and related areas through academic papers, journals and textbooks.
Set-up or adapt bioassays to assess biological activities of interest for Lesaffre.
Apply the defined workflow for identification of active compounds (extraction, fractionation…).
Run operational activities of the lab (maintenance of equipment, ordering of consumables…).
Make a personal impact
That makes you the ideal candidate
PhD degree in Analytical Chemistry, Organic Chemistry or Medicinal Chemistry
At least 1 year demonstrated experience in NMR metabolomics or NMR analysis of small molecules
Hands-on experience with HPLC and/or bioassay setup will be considered a plus
Experience in laboratory organization & maintenance
You have a passion for Research & Innovation and interest in metabolomics approaches. You are curious, organized, rigorous and demonstrate result focus
