Job Description:

The Technical Purchaser is responsible for sourcing, negotiating, and procuring technical materials, equipment, and services required for the expansion project. This includes ensuring supplier quality, managing cost efficiency, and maintaining timely deliveries while aligning company’s technical standards and operational needs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Analyze technical specifications and purchase requirements in coordination with engineering and projects teams.
  • Identify and evaluate potential suppliers for technical products and services.
  • Manage local & foreign suppliers
  • Request and review quotations, negotiate pricing, terms, and delivery schedules.
  • Issue purchase orders, monitor progress, and follow up on delivery timelines.
  • Maintain updated records of purchased items, supplier contracts, and performance.
  • Participate in cost-saving initiatives and supplier development programs.
  • Resolve any discrepancies related to technical purchases, deliveries, or quality issues

Required Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree in engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Civil or Industrial)
• Minimum 5–7 years of experience in technical or industrial purchasing (Preferable Construction companies,  FMCG Indirect purchases)
• Solid knowledge of procurement processes and technical specifications (machinery, spare parts and IT)
• Proficiency in ERP systems (e.g., SAP) and MS Office Suite.
• Fluent in English (spoken and written), French is a plus.

Willing to be based in Nubaria City or nearest possible city.

Technical Competencies:
• Understanding of engineering drawings and technical documentation.
• Knowledge of industrial suppliers and contractors.
• Familiarity with procurement tools, bidding processes, and cost analysis.

Soft Skills:
• Strong negotiation and communication skills.
• Problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
• Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.
• Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities.

Lesaffre Egypt for yeast industries is an Egyptian joint stock company for producing baking yeasts and yeasts extract. We are 100% owned by the holding company and part of Middle East & Africa baking region.

Lesaffre Egypt was established according to the Investment Guarantees and Incentives Law No. 8 of 1997, and registered in the Commercial Registry Office of Cairo Investment authority under No. 65570 on April, 14, 2013.

Our main operational purpose is to establish, manufacture, and package yeasts, yeast derivatives, and yeasts extracts. These many forms and types are then used within food products, animal feed, bread-making and bread improvers, flavorings, colors, and enzymes.

In October 2014, Lesaffre Egypt for yeasts industry (S.A.E) began effectively managing the acquired company.

Lesaffre Egypt’s main office is located in the Giza Governorate of Sheikh Zayed City while the factory is placed in the Nubaryia Industrial Area of El Beheira Governorate. We also have a Baking Center and Logistics Warehouse in 6th of October City. Currently, We employ more than 200 individual.
