What will your daily life look like?
Reporting to the European Region of the Fermentis Business Unit, you will be responsible for the commercial development of Marketing Houses, customers and prospects in the wine industry in Europe. Marketing Houses, which sell under their own brand name, represent an important business segment for Fermentis.
In this context, you will be responsible to:
– Identify new business opportunities with established Marketing Houses and prospects in this segment, in terms of products, services and any project addressing customer needs.
– Conduct field visits and identify business opportunities.
– Maintain transparent communication with Area Sales Managers (ASMs) and Regional Sales Managers (RSMs).
– Recommend price positioning with potential volumes by client/product.
– Assess possible implementation of partnership type agreements/programs, exploiting respective value contributions in the business models.
– Implement customer management and a key account relationship model, when prospect and/or customer size warrants.
– Ensure the management of the project at each step including quality, safety, compliance, regulatory, CSR aspects etc, as the Specific Point of Contact of the client. You follow trials at the client and negotiates and validate sales.
– Work in close collaboration with Technical Sales Support Manager (TSSM) to structure the need and convert it in R&D project if necessary/applicable. Deliver sales and technical presentations, when needed.
– Monitor competitive activity and update customer databases.
– Meet or exceed the economic targets in Budget.

Qualifications /Skills
Master’s degree in food science + Diplôme National d’Oenologie or equivalent experience.
With at least 5-10 years’ experience in business development/sales in the wine industry in a B to B environment in Europe ; and with a strong technical background.
Project management and negotiation skills.
A Master’s in Business Administration or Ecole de Commerce would be a real plus.
Fluent in English and French. Italian and/or Spanish would be a significant plus as well.
