What will your daily life look like?
In order to reinforce our BI & Data Team, we are looking for our new SAP Data Engineer. Reporting to our SAP BI Manager, you will integrate the new BI Center of Excellence. You will work in close cooperation with corporate BI project managers, Data analysts, Data engineers, as well as with other Data, Digital and Tech teams (SAP, Solutions, Infrastructure, Security).
In a very diverse environment, your main activities will be to:
Drive SAP S/4HANA data extraction strategy to SAP Datasphere, in a multi-system environment, mainly using mainly standard SAP extractors (CDS views). This includes connectivity activities, optimizing and rationalizing SAP extractions at Group level. BW Bridge scenario is also part the scenario, for the short term.
Collaborate with other internal Data stakeholders by providing relevant solutions for their data use cases. It also includes guidance definition and enforcement about BI usage within the Group.
Implement the relevant solution, by modelizing in Datasphere, replicating to other data platform, following the best practices, that you contribute to define.
To do so, the SAP Data engineer will have to propose/implement/manage projects key-success factors, with a pragmatic approach, and a customer satisfaction mindset:
- Planning (taking into consideration business needs and operational constraints)
- Priorities (to balance short/medium/long term actions, as well as urgent/important topics)
- Resources (internal and external teams availabilities management, functional and technical interactions and dependencies)
- Communications (to management, project teams, internal customers, to report key elements, and foster adoption)
- Documentations (about project status report, focused on: to do list, done list, decisions to be made, risks to be managed … procedures, memo to ease successful project deliveries)
- Training ensuring training of internal customers
- Operations monitoring (subcontracted to our SAP BI hosting partner);
- Support (to answer business questions, and fix issues when need be)

Key competencies
- Strong expertise in SAP table architecture including CDS views
- Strong data modeling skills
- Mastering ETL processes, ideally experience with SAP Datasphere
- You have a professionnal English
- You are familiar with international environments
- Knowledge of data governance best practices, ensuring compliance and data reliability
Nice to have
- Experience with Snowflake
- Experience in datavizualization tools, SAP Analytics Cloud, Power BI.
