What will your daily life look like?

The Technical Sales Manager is the critical link between sales, applications, and customer product development teams, delivering technical support and driving production and application innovation. This role leverages Biospringer’s capabilities to address customer needs throughout product and application development. Key customer-facing responsibilities include identifying, leading and closing product or application innovation projects, supporting new product introductions, resolving customer technical challenges, driving product success through quality and performance improvement. Occasionally, this role might include formulation and processing assistance at the customer premises.

This position is ideally located in Poland. Additional regions might be assigned based on the background of the candidate.

Duties and Responsibilities include the following.

  • Product portfolio Expertise: Serve as the expert in the sales team on the Biospringer ingredient portfolio. Collaborate with commercial, production, and R&D teams to understand customer needs and deliver tailored technical solutions across the sub-region, the region, and our global business.
  • Application Expertise: serve as the expert in the sales team on the interaction between the product and the application of the customer, identifying key application areas and focusing on application-based innovation.
  • Opportunity Development: Partner with marketing and product management to identify, prioritize, and target new customers for strategic sales initiatives.
  • Customer Solutions: Define and manage customer expectations on technical projects that support sales growth, enhance our competitive position, and deliver added value. Work in partnership with Biospringer Culinary Applications to develop customer and market-specific solutions.
  • Sales Support: Throughout the sales process, assist the commercial team with technical presentations, product demonstrations, and customer-specific requirements.
  • Industry Events: Represent Biospringer at conferences and trade shows to promote our products and strengthen brand recognition in key markets and with Distribution partners.
  • Market Intelligence: Gather and share insights on food trends, competitor activity, market challenges, and customer needs to inform business strategy.
  • Business Growth: Align with the Biospringer regional and sub-regional business plan to achieve revenue and profitability targets within the region and for the assigned accounts.
  • Reporting & CRM: Submit monthly reports detailing technical project status, customer activities, opportunity management, territory dynamics, and market headwinds. Maintain accurate records of customer interactions in the CRM system.

Education and/or Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in life sciences field (e.g. food science, food engineering, etc.).
  • 5 to 8 years of B2B technical sales experience and/or experience in food product development is preferred. 

Travel Requirements

50%+ within the CEE region with occasional visits to the offices in Paris (France) and in Delft (NL). Another sub region might be assigned based on the background of the candidate.

Language Skills                                          

Fluent in English. French is a plus.

To perform the job successfully, an individual should have the following competencies and skills:

  • Demonstrated success in B2B technical sales, specifically in food ingredients or related products.
  • Strong professional sales skills, including reporting, account and territory planning, prioritization, project management, time management, and conflict resolution.
  • Ability to develop deep market insights into the food industry, including foodservice and consumer packaged goods (CPG), and navigate relevant distribution channels.
  • Proven capability to lead and execute projects both internally and with external partners.
  • Excellent relationship-building and interpersonal skills.
  • Experience in food production and product development roles where ingredient solutions can be applied.
  • Comfortable working within a diverse, international business environment, with sensitivity to cultural and language differences.
