Job description
The Safety Coordinator proposes the safety orientations and the safety policy of the BU’s in link with the safety policy and principles of the Lesaffre Group.
The safety coordinator is directly accountable for EMEA region (6 plants) and insure reporting and communication in a collaborative manner with Breadmaking regional safety coordinators in US and China.
Axis: Leadership, progressive motivation, involvement, communication and technical & organizational support, psychosocial risks management.
The main responsibility is to drive the physical and psychological safety strategy and related action plans for BS, Procelys & LIS BU’s with the objective of 0 accident.
He/she acts as a bridge between Lesaffre Corporate and BS, Procelys & LIS BU’s.
1. Animation & Communication
.Manage an information-system within the BUs in order to improve the exchanges of best practices, information, accidents, near misses and corrective actions,
.Create and animate BU’s safety newsletters
. Participate to the network of the safety coordinators and the safety community
. Organize safety meetings in the BU’s and implement actions aimed at improving the safety culture and health.
. Organize safety days and events
2. Audit, Diagnosis, Processes, Certification, Standards & KPI’s
. Monthly follow up of the safety indicators, perform safety audits and share the experiences and best practices,
. Develop and implement “safety standard” in and for all the subsidiaries,
. Operational safety role in subsidiaries without safety manager,
. Follow up the safety actions plan in link with entities and the Lesaffre Group,
3. Training
. Leadership safety and BBS (behavior-based safety visit) for all sites of the BU’s
4. Roll out of common tools
. Communicate accident forms to the Lesaffre Group.
. BBS toolbox roll out
. Safety Policy, minimum requirements and Lesaffre fundamental principles
Qualifications
Education
Graduate from safety school or engineer with master’s in health & safety. Biotechnology formal education or associated downstream processes is a plus
Experience
5 -10 years’ experience in safety coordination of multi-sites in an industrial international environment. Yeast extract production experience is preferred.
People management and training / coaching experience is a plus

Experienced with Power BI, Power Apps and e-learning
Experienced with ISO 45 001 and OSHA
Language skills
English and French
