Job description
We are looking for our new Director of Biodata, one of our Centres of Excellence for R&D.
As a biodata Director, you will be responsible for leading :
Digital transformation : you will define, implement and evolve the architecture of the R&D information system and harmonize developments with Lesaffre’s overall digital transformation.
Management : you will manage and strengthen the BioData team, balancing the different digital technical skills with the needs of today and tomorrow (statistics, data processing and analysis and in particular bio-informatics, AI, data bases, software engineering, etc.).
Science: your challenge will be to maintain a high-level scientific culture in key areas of Lesaffre (system and synthetic biology, omics, microbiology, etc.) augmented with the contribution of digital technologies.
Interfaces and processes: you will actively contribute to a shared project culture and develop interactions within and outside R&D, for the benefit of value-creating innovation.
Qualifications
About you :
We are looking for a Ph.D. or equivalent degree in a relevant field such as (bio)-informatics, biology, data science. A combination of a Master’s degree and extensive relevant experience may also be considered.
You have a 10 years’ experience.
You are an excellent & inspiring leader with strong team management skills and able to motivate multidisciplinary teams.
You have demonstrated ability to build and maintain partnerships with internal/external stakeholders, including researchers, startup, other departments, government agencies, and non-profit organizations.
And your skills :
You have multiple competences covering the multidisciplinary aspects of our projects. A least 3 in:
- Biology, microbiology
- Omics
- Advanced statistics
At least one strong proven experience in :
- Big data (data bases, data collection, data analysis and exploitation)
- Statistics
- Bio-informatics
- AI
