Job description

Within the Center of Excellence Down Stream Process (DSP) Design belonging to the Lesaffre Institute of Science & Technology (LIST), and directly attached to Down Stream Process Director, you are in charge of estimating the costs of the new processes related to research and development projects and their sustainability impact.

As part of new processes:

  • You are responsible for estimating the costs related to technology development in projects in advance
  • You conduct comparative Life Cycle Assessment for technology selection
  • You assist in the management of LIST projects with ecological objectives
  • You define effective and relevant indicators
  • You keep abreast of technologies and regulations related to bioprocesses
  • You build and disseminate the knowledge of environmental and cost impact of the different DownStream unitary Processes to enable the teams to include these criteria upfront
  • You promote eco-design practices for DownStream Process
  • You define effective and relevant indicators, together with industrial, sustainable development teams

Qualifications

Education:

  • Master in Food, Chemistry, Process
  • 5 Years of experience min
  • With an engineering background, you have initial experience in estimating costs at various scales. In addition to your good knowledge of bioprocesses, you have experience with an eco-design tool.
  • You also have a mastery of essential project development tools, mathematical cost estimation methods and speak English fluently for international projects.

Behavioral skills:

  • You have a developed analytical and synthesis mindset, anticipate and formulate client needs. Your technical expertise, listening skills, precision and ability to work in a team are recognized.
  • Travel within France or abroad may be required.
