Job description

You will integrate Research & Development direction, as a member of R&D Analytics, in a multidisciplinary environment. During this mission you will be in charge of analytical developments in gas chromatography coupled with mass spectrometry (GC-MS), under the responsibility of a R&D team manager. Your mission will be mainly focused on the development of untargeted/targeted methods, more specifically on organoleptically active molecules, on products from Lesaffre portfolio.

Your mission?

ü  Development of analytical methods for GCMS/GC-FID/GC-PFPD analyses, based on SPME/DHS/SBSE methodologies.

ü  Development and standardization of methods for biological samples preparation

ü  Development of untargeted approaches (volatile profiles), to be adjusted to projects.

ü  Development of tools for data management for statistical analysis.



You hold a PhD in analytical chemistry, and more precisely in Gas Chromatography coupled Mass Spectrometry. You already worked on food samples or complex matrices, with targeted &/or untargeted methodologies (volatile profiles). You have a knowledge of multivariate analysis statistical tools.

You speak French &/or English.


-Strong background in GC-MS is mandatory.

-Background in untargeted analysis is highly requested, as skills in data mining.

-You already used sample preparation such as SPME, and ideally DHS or SBSE.

-You have knowledge in AEDA strategies and are familiar with identification of organoleptically active molecules in food.

-Optionally, you have background in GCxGC-MS &/or a good knowledge in statistical analysis.

-Knowledge of Agilent/LECO software would be a real plus, as knowledge of R language.
