Job description

Along the years we built a solid reputation with breakthrough research and intellectual property on yeast fermentation technology to develop innovative solution for nutrition and health.  We want to take advantage of our assets and implement a new research program with a primary focus on skin health and cosmetic applications. To support our activity within a new transversal team we are looking for a technician / research assistant. You will contribute to the discovery and substantiation of new active ingredient generated by fermentation for personal care applications.

A Day in the life of your new job

  • Implement and validate new protocols under the supervision of the Head of Skin research.
  • Carry out experiments independently (2D and 3D cell culture assays, molecular biology and imaging) and support project execution on-time.
  • Consolidate, proactively communicate, and share results with team members, scientists and or managers.
  • Develop or propose new methodologies & applications with high quality documentation, electronic lab-book entry, maintenance of internal database records and written reports.


What will make you successful?

  • BTEC Higher National Diploma, Bachelor or Master in cell biology or related disciplines are welcome, cosmetic specialization is a plus.
  • At least one first successful experience in a research laboratory with proven track-record – in academia or cosmetic industry
  • Experience in human cell culture, biochemistry and molecular biology (DNA / RNA purification, qPCR, gene silencing, western blotting, ELISA) or histology and microscopy/imaging are preferred.
  • Experience in image analysis is a plus
  • Good Problem-solving skills and do-it yourself mindset are required
  • Good communication, organization and interpersonal skills to work in a dynamic and multicultural center
  • Fluency in English (spoken and written) is desired but not mandatory
