Job description

Your role is to manage innovation projects, pillars or programs and product development, enabling Procelys to create value in EMEA, NAM and LATAM regions.

Key Accountabilities:

  • Lead and manage Procelys projects, pillars or program from idea to concept to product launch aiming at delivering in time and aligned with commitments;
  • Nurture the incubator of Procelys with new concepts;
  • With support from Marketing, Technical support and Applications Lab, Identify main fermentation market trends. Contribute to build opportunities for new product or service development with customers;
  • Coordinate with the Biotech Application Laboratories, Technical Supports, Industry and Quality for small projects;
  • Coordinate with LIST Corporate R&D to ensure the spreading of new capabilities across Procelys projects;
  • Establish a dialog with chosen key scientific leaders in the Procelys field in order to develop cooperations. Draft and Implement external research projects with academia or other research institutes as needed;
  • Attend technical industry and scientific events to assess Biotech and Fermentation industry mega-trends. Give lectures/talks or Present posters in symposiums and technical events to ensure Procelys recognition and contribution to the industry.

Key criteria  of Success:

  • Reliable project management with clear KPI’s driving to results on time and budget;
  • Successful R&D projects with customers and external partners;
  • Engagement/adhesion of stakeholders in processes and tools through a relevant and regular communication on objectives and benefits;
  • Numbers & quality of innovation proposals to nurture Procelys strategy;
  • External recognition as a Procelys scientific ambassador.

Qualifications

Education:  Strong Biotech Scientific Background. MS/PhD in Biotech disciplines.
Experience: 5 years min of experience in Project Management and/or Scientific & Technical Lab. work in industrial Biotechnology.

Knowledge:   

  • Excellent scientific knowledge in particular fermentation, microbial physiology, statistical analysis/Analytics, Economics of biotech products

Technical Skills:   

  • Fluent in English and French;
  • Design of experiments;
  • Master in MS Project, Excel and Statistical tools.
