Job description

1.​ Quality and Safety:

o​ Ensure that production processes align with quality and safety standards, regulations, and company policies.

o​ Ensure of full compliance with the product specifications (yeast, yeast extracts range) and active in implementation of new products or quality targets

o​ Develop and implement quality and safety programs and procedures and monitor compliance.

o​ Oversee the training of staff on quality and safety standards, as well as HSE procedures reinforcing in all work aspects.

o​ Continuously improve quality and safety practices through data analysis and process control.

o​ Ensure that workplace safety standards are enforced and upheld.

2.​ Production Management:

o​ Plan, organize, and direct the manufacturing and production process activities to meet production targets, delivery schedules, and customer requirements.

o​ Review and revise production schedules regularly and align with the sales plan.

o​ Develop contingency plans to address production disruptions and ensure efficient resource allocation.

o​ Monitor and analyze production metrics and take corrective actions to improve process efficiency, quality, and productivity to ensure that products are delivered on time.

o​ Ensure that production is carried out in compliance with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and Good Documentation Practices (GDP) and other relevant quality standards.

o​ Gain yeast manufacturing process knowledge, while working on various projects

3.​ New product industrialization

o​ Assist the plant with the help of pilot and process team to support industrialization of new products for both N&H and BM

o​ Provide expertise, recommendations and guidelines before and after industrialization trials

4.​ Personnel Management:

Supervise and coach production staff, creating a motivated workforce.

Conduct employee performance reviews, provide coaching and training to help staff improve.

Develop and monitor KPIs for all subordinates, providing consistent feedback and support for continuous improvement.

 

5.​ Cost Control:

Develop and manage production budgets, monitor daily costs, and take corrective actions when necessary.

Implement cost-saving initiatives, including optimization of process flows, resource allocation, and labor utilization.

 

6.​ Handle other affairs assigned by superior and report the result in time

Qualifications

1.​ Ability to work with people at various levels from shop floor to senior management.

2.​ Safety, Quality and Productivity focus.

3.​ Ability to apply mathematical concepts such as exponents, logarithm, quadratic equations and permutations, frequency distribution, correlation techniques, sampling theory, ANOVA.

4.​ Ability to apply thermodynamic concepts in order to improve the workshop energy efficiency.

5.​ Ability to prioritize and organize tasks in order to timely deliver workshop requirements.

6.​ Communication and “customer” service skills are required in relationship with coworkers, management and other departments within the company.

7.​ Mechanical & Electrical aptitude and trouble-shooting skills.

8.​ Ability to write detailed technical reports using Microsoft pack office (Word/Excel/PowerPoint).

9.​ CAD drawings skills are an advantage but not essential.

10.​ Ability to design and/or use complex Excel spreadsheets to organize and analyze data.

11.​ Additional safety and/or training experience helpful.

12.​ Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts and draw valid conclusions.

13.​ Master Good Manufacturing Process requirements.

14.​ Background in cell culture fermentation is required.

15.​ Competency in micro-biology relating to fermentation.

16.​ Ability to read in English and interpret documents such as safety rules, operation and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals.

17.​ Ability to write routine reports and correspondence in English.

18.​ Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.
