What will your daily life look like?
Along the years we built a solid reputation with breakthrough research and intellectual property to develop microorganism-based solutions for nutrition and health.
You will integrate the Phileo R&D Team as R&D Manager – Animal In vitro Digestibility to lead the animal in vitro digestibility and microbiome platform, hosted at “The Farm” Phileo’s Application Center, to promote innovation for animal nutrition and health applications.
Within the Mode of Action Team, you will:
- Contribute to the definition and the management of the R&D Phileo strategy and research roadmapps in the field of animal nutrition, health, digestibility and microbiome through the development of new competencies and in vitro tools focused on ruminants and monogastric
- Design and develop innovative products, solutions and services for Phileo by feeding the pipeline of ideas, PoCs and projects (as project manager and/or resources in Phileo projects) in close collaboration with Global Species Managers, Business, Marketing, sales and technical teams.
- Promote scientific excellence by representing Phileo in key congresses, for customers, KOLs and academics through dedicated presentations and collaborative projects
- Provide a support to the different Phileo services (R&D, strategy, marketing, technical and sales teams), in the field of digestibility and the microbiome
- Be responsible for the implementation and development of the platform’s activities and its proper functioning in compliance with the guidelines and budgets
- Manage the scientific and technical team of the platform and will ensure its organization, development, safety and maintenance of good working conditions
Make a personal impact
That makes you the ideal candidate
- Experienced scientist with a PhD in Animal Nutrition and/or Physiology, and/or Microbiology, with a focus on the intestinal microbiome, with > 8-10 years of experience in the field of animal nutrition and health.
- In-depth knowledge of in vitro tools related to ruminant and monogastric digestibility related to the digestibility of ruminant and monogastric animals, and the taste for developing new innovative tools, as well as a good knowledge of intestinal microbiota
- Knowledges in molecular biology techniques, sequencing devices and bioinformatic analysis tools, would be an asset
- Critical and analytical thinking are required for translational research around host and microbe interactions, holobionts and applications around the one-health concept.
- High collaborative attitude to develop intra and inter-departmental activities or work in cross-functional team to promote microbiome-based solutions.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills (Fluent in English & French).
