Job description
Within the Center of Excellence Down Stream Process Design belonging to the Lesaffre Institute of Science & Technology, and directly attached to the Drying Process Team Manager, you are in charge of the realization of experiments campaign in the field of preservation of micro-organisms and compounds of interest along with team (8 persons).
Your main domains of intervention will be focused on the drying/preservation processes of micro-organisms and compounds of interest.
As a R&D Technician, your responsibilities are:

- To take part in team activities related to the preservation of products implying drying processes, and formulation.
- To participate as a team member. You will be in charge of the realization of experiments, the analysis and reporting of results at laboratory scale and pilot scale.
- To organize laboratory activities, supplying and maintenance of equipment along with other technicians.
- To report data experiments on LIMS/ELN.
- To make sure safety rules are applied and respected in laboratories and working spaces.
Qualifications
- Bac+2/3 in Food Processing, Chemical/Biological processing, Chemistry.
- A first experience in drying process and characterization of dry products/powder production would be appreciated, especially in the field of micro-organisms.
- Technical skills on:
- Drying processes (fluidized air bed drying, spray-drying, freeze drying…).
- Physical and chemical analysis.
- Microbiological analysis is a plus.
