Job description
Within the Center of Excellence Down Stream Process Design belonging to the Lesaffre Institute of Science & Technology, and directly attached to the Drying Process Team Manager, you are in charge of developing process of preservation of micro-organisms and compounds of interest along with the drying process team (9 persons). You will be particularly in charge of the study of a new method of preservation of products by coating as well as their characterization (physico-chemical, microbiological study, stability)
As a Scientist, your responsibilities are:

- To design and realize a plan of experiments for your project;
- To evaluate and characterize products;
- To define and design methods of production;
- Produce prototypes and participate to their performance evaluation in application
- To synthesize and write activities reports of your project
Qualifications
- Master or engineering degree in process engineering, drying process, applied chemistry or food/chemical engineering
- Fluent in English
- Design of experiments
- Knowledge on
- Drying process (fluidized bed drying, spray drying, freeze drying, drum drying…)
- Characterization of dry products, powders and emulsions
- Formulation
