Job description
In order to support our growth, we are looking for a highly organized and detail-oriented Industrial Security Coordinator to join our team. This new position is to coordinate and for maintaining the safety and security of our entities and personnel. The candidate will have excellent communication skills, the ability to network and a sound knowledge of safety principles and best practices. In this context, and with a view to continuous improvement, the Security Coordinator interfaces with HSE departments at plant, project and site level.
Your mission will be focus on 2 parts :
Security at group level:
- Develop and maintain security protocols and guidelines (IT is not included)
- Coordinate with security personnel to ensure efficient and effective safety and security measures.
- Conduct regular security audits and identify vulnerabilities.
- Contribute to access control systems, security systems and fire protection systems.
- Develop emergency response plans and ensure staff are trained on protocols.
- Manage communication about security incidents.
- Animate the network within the group.
Travel safety:
- Develop and implement travel safety programs for all company employees traveling domestically and internationally.
- Advise company leadership on travel safety and security concerns, including providing recommendations and guidelines for travel in high-risk areas.
- Conduct, with travel safety network and partners, risk assessments for travel destinations, including researching and analyzing relevant data on local safety and security conditions.
- Ensure the safety travel communication.
- Participate to crisis cell.
This position is based in our HQ in Marcq-en-Baroeul but you will have to travel frequently to our plant sites across the world. You will report to our Group Safety & Security Coordinator.
Qualifications
You have :
- A bachelor’s or Master’s degree in safety and security or related field.
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in security management or a related field.
- An industrial background is a huge plus.
- A strong knowledge of security & safety principles.
- An excellent communication and interpersonal skills in English & French.
- An ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- An ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise good judgment.
